So far this week has been dedicated mostly to Scouting, fundraising on Saturday, fishing on Sunday, sorting out and repairing tents on Monday, and an actual meeting last night. Today has been my first proper day off, and how did I spend it? I went into town to buy Bioshock on the 360.
I have bought Bioshock before, on Steam, however, my GPU is very old at the moment, and playing it is proving to be problematic without stuttering and lagging, which isn’t what I want, so I figured that I could pick up a pre-owned copy for 360 pretty cheap now. Of course, I did this forgetting about the situation with GAME and Gamestation, which I blogged about yesterday, and was greeted with a GAME shop shut, and workers inside putting lots of games into lots of cardboard boxes. A very sad sight, really.
Undeterred, I carried on down the road and into Cex, where I found Bioshock for £6, which I thought was pretty reasonable. While I was there, I also snapped up Battlefield 3, which I didn’t actually buy when it was released, but having bought XBox Live again recently, I thought it would be a good title to pick up for a pretty cheap rate. Add an online pass to the game for 800 Microsoft Points, and I was away. After 4 hours on the game (which strangely seemed more like half an hour), I knew I had made both the right and the wrong choice..
Tomorrow will also be dedicated to having a rest, and maybe a bit of programming (I got my MSDNAA password sent last night, and am currently downloading Visual Studio SP1), and Friday onwards will be given over to Scouting, as we’re off on a camp! Looking forward to it, as it will be the first group camp I’ve been on since the end of August. I attended Freezer camp last month, but that was with district, and not group.
